DIRECTING - FILMING - EDITING

Jeremy Eichenbaum is a documentary filmmaker specializing in the arts, dedicated to capturing the stories behind contemporary artists and their work. With a background in photography, art history and media design, his practice focuses on artist interviews, studio visits, performance documentation, and gallery walkthroughs—offering a cinematic perspective on the creative process.

Eichenbaum received his BFA in photography from Cal State Long Beach in 2007, where he gravitated toward experimental video as digital filmmaking became more accessible. Storytelling and the moving image soon became his primary mediums, leading him to earn a Master’s in Media Design from ArtCenter College of Design in 2013. There, he deepened his understanding of how audiences engage with digital media, setting the foundation for his career in commercial filmmaking, advertising, and the arts.

Over the years, Eichenbaum has had the privilege of working with some of the most influential artists of our time, developing a profound appreciation for their creative processes. He believes that to truthfully tell the story of an artist’s work, one must engage with it on both a formal and critical level—understanding the artist’s intent and translating it through framing, interviewing, and editing. This collaborative process is central to his approach, allowing him to create a visual record that contributes to the ongoing narrative of contemporary art history.

Through his company, Los Angeles Video Club, Eichenbaum works across a diverse range of creative industries—including art, fashion, music, education, and entertainment. Based in Los Angeles but always ready to travel, he continues to collaborate with artists, galleries, and institutions, documenting and preserving their stories for future audiences.
